INCI: ANTHEMIS NOBILIS FLOWER OIL

The herbaceous Roman chamomile (Anthemis Nobilis) from the family The daisy family (Asteraceae) is native to southern, central and western Europe as well as northwest Africa and has long been used as a medicinal plant. It grows to a maximum height of 35 to 40 centimeters and prefers full sun to partially shaded locations on sandy and well-drained soil. Their flowering period is from July to October. The oil obtained from the yellow-white flower heads is used in the cosmetics and food industry.

Effect

Roman chamomile flower oil has a complex composition but is significantly influenced by the esters it contains. Hydroperoxides, sesquiterpene lactones and flavonoids, for example, are other ingredients in the oil. It is best known for its antiseptic, antibacterial and wound healing properties, but also has a calming, relaxing and antispasmodic effect. Due to these healing properties, Roman chamomile flower oil is ideal for skin care to treat neurodermatitis, acne, eczema, muscle pain, burns and sore skin. In aromatherapy, however, it helps with stress, anxiety and depression, sleep disorders and inner restlessness. The skin-soothing effect in our products also helps to reduce inflammation and irritation of the skin and thus provides naturally effective wound treatment.
